FAQ
REGISTRATION
- NAME
Directory is about people, so all listings require a legitimate first and last name. Directing duo titles, company names, and collectives are not accepted as directory name entries. However, if you work as part of a duo or collective, you are welcome to link to a shared page where appropriate.
- ROLE & FORMAT MODERATION
Any role or format listed on your Directory listing must be represented by work on your linked reel or portfolio. This ensures a positive browsing experience for those searching for talent in specific roles.
Only select roles you actively collaborate in. For example, if you are a director who edits their own work but do not offer editing as a service, please list yourself as a director only.
- COMMERCIAL PROJECTS
A "Commercial" is a client project produced within an advertising production pipeline.
To qualify:
- The director is represented by a production company, agency, or talent agent specifically for commercials.
Or projects fulfil at least 3 of the following criteria:
- The client is a globally recognised brand.
- An advertising agency or in-house creative department produced the creative.
- A production company was engaged to produce the project.
- The project aired on broadcast TV, in cinemas, or on a streaming platform.
Projects that don't meet the requirements above, including self-produced, direct-to-client, organic/online only, or low-budget work fall under "Branded Content".
- FEATURE PROJECTS
Narrative Features and Documentary Features are intended only for filmmakers with experience in the respective format, defined by a near-completed or completed project.
Projects in pre-production are not eligible for listing unless supported by external press from a credible source, such as trade publications, festival announcements, or official studio and brand announcements.
Where a completed project is not available, filmmakers who are represented specifically for feature projects by a production company, agency, or talent agent also qualify.
Your listing can be updated at any time. If a project is currently in development, you can return and add it once it is released or press coverage becomes available.
